Onion Bhaji Recipe

01

SLICE IT LIKE YOU MEAN IT

Slice up 2 medium onions. Doesn’t have to be perfect, just get them thin so they cook nice and quick.

02

SPICE IT, MIX IT, LET IT GROOVE

Place the onions into a bowl with the full packet of Roosma Onion Bhaji mix. Gradually add 1 cup of water (250ml) and mix it up. The consistency should be of a thick texture. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes so the flavours get to know each other.

03

HEAT THINGS UP

Heat some oil in a pan on a medium-high heat, around 170°c if you’re being precise.

04

SCOOP, SHAPE, AND DROP IT LIKE IT'S HOT

Scoop out small portions using a spoon and gently drop into the hot oil. Cook in batches to avoid overcrowding, so they turn golden and crispy.

05

WATCH THE MAGIC HAPPEN

Take them out, let them chill on some absorbent paper to soak up excess oil.

06

DEVOUR

Serve straight away. Best served with chutney, yoghurt dip, or whatever sauce you vibe with. You’ve earned it.
